Spring doesn’t officially begin until March 20th and today (March 3rd) you can definitely tell it’s still Winter! If you’re reading this today, then you are aware that most of Memphis is on lock-down thanks to the sleet shower we received last night. I’ll be seeing some patients later this afternoon, but for now, I am watching cartoons with my son while my daughter swings peacefully next to us. Life is good!! It seems like I start every blog post by saying this, but sorry for not blogging more often. Last time we met like this it was December 25th. My excuse? Well, the best answer I can give you is this: January and February were very busy! This is, of course, a good thing and I’m not complaining. But, I felt like I was playing catch-up both months. We did hire a new treatment coordinator Kayla. Kayla came to us from orthodontic offices in Jackson and Nashville, TN. Kayla is awesome and you’re going to love her!

So, the next thing is this – I’ve been starting a lot of Invisalign cases lately. Invisalign is one of the rare services in orthodontics that patients actually demand by name. Why? Well, there are a few reasons. The first reason, to be honest, is that Invisalign has marketed itself…a LOT. The other reason is that most adults simply don’t want to have their teeth straightened with metal braces. Invisalign is less noticeable than metal braces and it works (to be clear, Invisalign isn’t necessarily the best option for all patients and there are still significant advantages to metal braces – but we’ll save that for another blog post). We recently started an Invisalign case at Saddle Creek Orthodontics with a wonderful patient named Alyncia. Alyncia has a great personality and will probably be famous someday, so she naturally gave a great interview! I made a short 2-minute video detailing the process that you can watch below.

If you are interested in Invisalign or other braces options (including Incognito) , please call us at 901.244.4826 or contact us online. I hope you have a great week and I’ll talk to you soon!

Best,
