Dr. Kyle Fagala, DDS, MDS

Board-certified Orthodontist, husband and father of 4, drummer, and ginger living in Germantown, Tennessee.

With the end of one year right around the corner and the start of another in sight, we’ve been reflecting a bit on what 2019 meant to our team and what exciting adventures 2020 will have in store for us. It was a wonderful year here at Saddle Creek Orthodontics, and it’s been such a privilege for us to continue providing beautiful smiles to patients all across Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, and the Mid-South. We’ve loved getting to know so many new patients, and enjoyed working alongside our existing ones, too.

This year, we celebrated our 6th anniversary by being voted Best Orthodontist from the Commercial Appeal’s Memphis Most competition–something we’re extremely proud of! Dr. Kyle was a finalist in the Memphis Business Journal’s Small Business Executive of the Year, and was named a Top Dentist for the 6th year in a row as voted by his fellow Memphis dentists.

He also began a new term this year as President of the Memphis Dental Society, and had several speaking engagements: the AAO Meeting in Los Angeles, OrthoPreneurs in Dallas, Mother of Pearls in Irvine, Ortho360 in Nashville, SAO/SWSO in Orlando, and the 3M Meeting in Kansas City. His podcast “The Digital Orthodontist: Live!” continues to be popular in the orthodontic community. Needless to say, he hasn’t had a lot of free time in recent months, and looks set to be almost as busy in the coming ones!

Our SCO team wasn’t quite as busy as Dr. Kyle this year, but we had a lot happening, too. Nicole and Helen took a walk down the aisle to marry their true loves, and we welcomed Grace’s beautiful new son Lewis Phillip into the world. We participated as a team in the Mid-South Mission of Mercy, and also completed a Girl Scout Cookie Drive, purchasing over 200 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from local troops and delivering them to all of the Germantown and Collierville police and fire stations. Team SCO was also able to travel to the Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontists Annual Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale.

We were all about community this year, a trend we plan to continue. This summer, we put on two Patient Appreciation movie days (Toy Story 4 and The Lion King) with an amazing turnout. We ended up with several hundred attendees between patients, families, and friends! SCO had a great time hosting a Mouth Guard Clinic for the Germantown Football League, and were their Uniform Sponsor for the year as well. In the fall, we celebrated Halloween with an amazing Sandlot group costume, and our patients helped us raise money to donate towards breast cancer research. 2019 also brought us our biggest CE event yet, hosting over 250 local dental professionals for Continuing Education, dinner, and excellent entertainment!

This year, we were finally able to officially launch our Embrace Memphis nonprofit, introducing Sully the Sloth as our mascot. Sully helped us raise $3233.00 through Sloth Adoptions and T-shirt sales, which goes towards providing 100% free orthodontic care to patients in need in the Memphis area. It was a fantastic start to our program, due in large part to the generosity of our SCO family! We’re looking forward to doing even bigger things with Embrace Memphis in 2020.

Speaking of doing bigger things, we’re so excited about planning for the expansion of our Germantown location next Spring! Stay tuned for more information and lots of sneak peeks.

Before we close out this year and begin another, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the best patients in the world. Your smiles mean everything to us, and we can’t wait to see more transformations in 2020!

Best,
